 Neil Boyd
As the founder and President of Alliance Maintenance, Inc. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Neil Boyd helps people with sales and management skills to build their own business using a business system that he has perfected over a period of 25 years.
Neil’s career in the commercial cleaning industry began in 1983 when he started cleaning the walls of his father’s racing engine service center in Norman, Oklahoma. Under the name Alliance Maintenance, Neil quickly grew his business and Alliance became one of the largest commercial cleaning companies in the State of Oklahoma.
In 1996, Neil pioneered and adopted a unique, low cost approach to franchising in the commercial cleaning industry. This approach is based on a belief in empowering others through business ownership. He used this approach to transition the employees of Alliance into cleaning franchisees of Alliance. By becoming cleaning franchisees, these individuals became owners of their own small cleaning business. Many of these individuals are still operating today as Alliance franchisees.
In 1997, Neil started the Area Developer program and began teaching others how to operate a cleaning franchising business. Neil personally taught each Area Developer how to operate an Area Developer business, including training them on sales, business management, goal setting and providing leadership in their business. Neil continues to train Area Developers today.
The Alliance network of Area Developers currently spans 6 states, generates $8 million in revenue annually, and cleans approximately 800 buildings.
Neil is a nationally recognized expert in the commercial cleaning industry. He has counseled or consulted with over 100 cleaning company owners during the past 3 years. He is regularly published or featured in cleaning and business publications, including Building Services Management Magazine, CleanScene and The Journal Record.
Neil is an active member of Wildwood Community Church. He regularly teaches classes and serves on panels where he provides counseling services on marriage, debt reduction and career management. He has been teaching Sunday School and Small Group classes for over 20 years. For the past 6 years, Neil has led a youth adventure trip to Colorado where he provides training on leadership.
Neil graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. |
