We are aggressively looking for individuals with sales experience that share our values to work as Area Developers.
As an Area Developer, you would build your own business using our proven business system. You would primarily do three things: Sell commercial accounts, locate people to clean the accounts, and manage each of the accounts.
We are looking for Area Developers that meet the following requirements: Business-to-business sales ability or experience. Passion for providing excellent customer service. Ability to work without supervision. Enthusiastic support from your family. Management skills.
This is an opportunity to operate your own business. Many of the other opportunities that are available to start a business using a proven business system are franchise programs that you must purchase for a large fee. Franchises that give you the ability to earn 6-figure incomes often cost $20,000 to $40,000.
We do not charge you a fee to use our business model. We earn our money from the operation of our business and not from charging fees to our Area Developers. We expect you to invest into your business at least $2,500 over a 3-month period. You will spend these funds on a variety of business expenses, including marketing materials, advertising, traveling costs during training, and office equipment and supplies.

Description of Area Developer Opportunity
Alliance Maintenance, Inc. is a franchising company that contracts with Area Developers to sell commercial cleaning accounts and locate franchisees to clean the accounts.
The following is a summary of the opportunity to become an Area Developer of Alliance Maintenance:
Business Structure: Alliance Maintenance is a full-service commercial cleaning company that provides cleaning services to businesses. We license Area Developers to sell commercial cleaning services to customers. The customers enter into a service contract with Alliance. After selling a account, the Area Developer will locate an individual to clean the account. The individual that cleans the account is a cleaning franchisee of Alliance Maintenance.
Role of Area Developer: As an Area Developer, you are responsible for selling commercial cleaning accounts, locating cleaning franchisees to clean the accounts, and managing relationships with customers. We will assist you with these matters by providing you with the following: 1) comprehensive training; 2) access to a proven business system, and 3) professional and administrative support from the corporate office.
Initial Training Program: When you start your business, we will provide you with a 2-week training program that will teach you the fundamentals of starting an Area Developer business. We will provide you with a step-by-step plan for bidding commercial cleaning accounts. We also provide a bidding chart that explains how much to charge per square foot. During the training, we will help you to establish short-term and long-term goals for your business. We will also assist you to develop a plan to achieve those goals.
Marketing Plan: Alliance will provide you with a comprehensive marketing plan to assist you in selling commercial cleaning accounts. Alliance gives you a “license” to operate under the national brand of Alliance Maintenance. We will make the following available to you: professionally designed business cards; letterhead, brochures; pocket folders; and envelopes. We will allow you to use our website to market your services. We will give you access to our bid delivery format, bid delivery script, bid delivery process and pricing chart. We will make Alliance customers available to you for references when you are delivering bids.
Cleaning Franchisee Location Plan: We will provide you with a comprehensive plan that you can use to locate cleaning franchisees. We will make the following recruitment materials available to you: brochures; online recruiting presentation; yard signs; door hangers; classified advertisement; and newspaper inserts.
Schedule for Success: We have developed a “Schedule for Success” that outlines the activities that you need to perform each day to succeed as an Area Developer.
The schedule establishes routines for the following activities:
- Delivering bids.
- Making cold calls.
- Following-up on bid deliveries and cold calls.
- Locating cleaning franchisees to clean and manage buildings.
- Making quality control calls and visits.
Online Account Management System: Alliance will allow you to use its Online Account Management System, which is a Web-based account management system that you will use to manage commercial cleaning accounts. The System is custom software that is easy to use. You will enter your business information into the System and we will then bill the accounts and pay the cleaning franchisees.
Telephone Conferences: Alliance will provide you with telephone consultation services. We will assign you a “Senior Area Developer” who is regularly available to talk to you by phone. The Senior Area Developer will respond to your questions, offer comments and suggestions, and recommend steps you can take to achieve your business goals.
Conferences: Alliance will invite you to attend quarterly conferences where we will provide you with guidance and other information that is relevant to your business. Discussion topics routinely include sales information, locating franchisees to clean accounts, resolving problems with franchisees, management and operational strategies, and goal setting. The conferences provide you with an opportunity to network with and learn from other Area Developers. You are not required to attend these conferences.
Freedom and Flexibility: Area Developers are independent contractors, which means that you have a lot of freedom to operate your business. While we provide you with a lot of tools that you may use to grow your business, you are not required to use most of these tools. You do not have to use our marketing plan or marketing materials. You do not have to accept leads from us. You do not have to use our franchise location plan. You do not have to follow the Schedule for Success. You do not have to attend our conferences. You determine when you work, where you work and how much you work.
How You Earn Money and How Alliance Earns Money:
The commercial cleaning customers that you obtain will pay Alliance and then we’ll pay you your percentage.
Here’s how it works:
- Cleaning franchisees clean the customers’ buildings.
- Alliance mails an invoice to the customers and the customers pay Alliance.
- Alliance pays to you between 16.25% and 20.6% of the invoice amount*.
- Alliance retains 7.5% or more of the invoice amount.
- Alliance pays the remainder to the cleaning franchisee after deducting fees for general liability insurance, workers’ compensation insurance, etc.

* Your profit margin on a commercial cleaning account will decrease after 24 to 28 months. When your profit margin decreases, the excess amount goes directly to the cleaning franchisee to reward him for providing good customer service and to incentivize him to continue providing good service.
